Phosphosiderite is a rare mineral named for its main components, phosphate and iron. The siderite at the end of phosphosiderite comes from the word "sideros", the Greek word for iron.

Phosphosiderite is a vibrant purple orchid color and is a relative newcomer to the world of gemstones as it was only discovered in the late 19th century. Fine quality phosphosiderite is hard to come by and this opaque gemstone may contain veins of yellow.

The spiritual meaning behind Phosphosiderite can be found in the element Phosphorus which is a name derived from Greek meaning “Light Bearer”.

It’s a headstrong, self-confident and self-sufficient element. It’s a masculine, assertive and powerful energy that is assertive, bold, and direct; but can also make one feel isolated or alone in their work and goals.

Phosphosiderite helps one feel more confident about the work they do and become more skilled in their ability to do it, along with the courage necessary to carry out any task. It helps one find strength and power when they can’t seem to find either of these two qualities by themselves; especially when the situation seems impossible or even hopeless.

Phosphosiderite is a stone that helps one connect to other realms or planes of existence, especially those of the afterlife.

It stimulates communications with higher levels of consciousness and helps humanity become more closely connected to each other as well as connect to everything that exists in the Universe.
